TrueBlue Blueberry and Grape Juice

We’ve all heard that blueberries are one of those “superfoods” that we should be eating every day, but if you find it inconvenient, you might want to try TrueBlue Blueberry Juice. Each 64 ounce bottle contains the juice of one pound of blueberries. It’s delicious, and unlike many juices, it’s not made with high fructose corn syrup, but rather cane sugar, so it has 25% less sugar than many other juices.

TrueBlue also contains grape juice, which may have important health benefits as well. A 2003 Stanford University study showed that among people with heart disease, drinking grape juice for two weeks helped widen their arteries and reduce cholesterol oxidation by more than a third… pretty substantial.

Apparently the bioflavanoids in grape juice acts like a kind of non stick coating for the arteries. This is similar to the effect of red wine, tea and of course blueberries, known for high antioxidant properites.

Of course, you might be concerned about the sugar content. TrueBlue might be helpful if this is your concern, because it contains blueberries along with the grape juice. Blueberries have been shown to regulate the body’s response to insulin, and are a great food to consume along with high glycemic index foods (for instance, eating blueberries on top of your pancakes or waffles will help your body deal with the carbohydrates).
